Let's talk about everything.
I have not recently been able to write anything that
would, in my view, make sense. I apologise for that, although I am
also fully aware of the fact that none of the impressive amount of my
readers will not hold a grudge against me; you're so empathetic! The
reason for the fact I was not updating the blog for the last two or
three weeks now is that I felt as if there were too many things worth
mentioning that there is no way for me to encompass them all and stay
sane. The time is running though, and my frustration from not getting
down to any work frightfully grows in me (preventing me from writing
anything, oh, the irony!), hence today's post.
I've decided to write about all of these things at once, since there is no way I will be able to make a separate blog post for each and every one of them. The mere thought of it makes me feel overwhelmed by the amount of work, which, I am aware, does not advocate for me being a hard-working person. I'm not lazy, I swear. I do feel I'll be needing to make a lot of #allatonce posts though, I'm too chaotic to get down to one single thing.
I've decided to write about all of these things at once, since there is no way I will be able to make a separate blog post for each and every one of them. The mere thought of it makes me feel overwhelmed by the amount of work, which, I am aware, does not advocate for me being a hard-working person. I'm not lazy, I swear. I do feel I'll be needing to make a lot of #allatonce posts though, I'm too chaotic to get down to one single thing.
So, without further ado, these are the
things I felt I needed to talk about!
- Queen is probably the only band I know
that wrote about masturbation so freely. I admire Freddie and the
rest of the band for that – I mean, when you think about it,
contemporary music contains of a lot of sex references, not to
mention the fact that these are very often not only references, but
the act itself, however
nothing is being written on the subject of one's sexual stimulation.
And putting it against all other serious matters
that legendary band would bring up in
their lyrics makes them truly one of the
best musician groups ever.
- I never knew Duran Duran were from Birmingham and that Madness wrote something else apart from 'My house'. The Cure, Cribs, Madness, the Shadows, Joy Division, Pink Floyd, Oasis, Gomez... noooo Names of awesome bands started appearing in my head, and there is no stoppin' (see what I did there?). Generally though, British music industry F(or)T(he)W(in)!
- I really like the newly-released Microsoft Surface. Why were both Steve Jobbs and Bill Gates considered as bad people? And how can Steve Jobbs ever be compared to Bill Gates, especially when one look at the work of people such as Steve Wozniak and Jonathan Ive?
- I can understand that avoiding paying taxes is a bad thing to do, but how can one accomplish that by inflating the prices of certain products, Berlusconi, how?!
- DFTBA Records! Hank and John Green! Awesome youtubers! The power of internet! The power of the people on the internet! The power of being yourself and occasional lonely high school musical karaoke nights!
- The original title of my blog was 'in search of inspiration!'. Inspiration is defined to be sudden. But is it really? Can inspiration be a long term creation? As in John Green's newest book, which I'm disappointed with, to be completely honest - you can experience it as you experience falling asleep – firstly slowly and then all at once. Is that how elderly people's love work? The source of the inspiration that may be derived from that is a long term notion, but is the inspiration itself too?
- Internet cafes in India! A recipe for Noble Prize winning! (these two things do have something in common, though the appearances may contradict it)
- I bought a mug three weeks ago. It was quite nice, with African emblems on it. Most importantly though, I bought it for a reason – work purposes. I went to work and made myself some coffee using my mug, which is when the magic happened. I finally felt as if it was my place. It became my place the very moment I placed my mug on one of the shelves of my workplace's storage, although I had been working there for the last half a year. Is this some kind of atavistic manifestation of my character? I think so.
- I've come up with a theory regarding music and its miscellaneous lyrics: it does not matter what the language of the lyrics is, an average person is more of less tend to rightly guess what the song's about. Emotions felt when listening to music are not to be misled in any way.
- Celebrities are also people, and one of them has mentioned me on the radio! Thank you Noreen Khan! (@bbc asian radio, product placement there).

I can now finally focus on elaborating on the things
my mind is currently occupied with. Before frustration deriving from
not writing anything for a long time gets in my way.
Oh, and on a side note, I am feeling a bit sad today.
But I move my tears in the right direction.

School - a post worthy of a frustrated teenager.
Not a subject I ever wanted to discuss on my blog, but here it goes.
I got pretty mad at the idea of school today and found myself completely hopeless against the absurdity of the notion. My brain sometimes does that - while starting to analyse certain (definitely unchangeable for now) things is driving me crazy, in the same time reminding me that whatever I'm committed to right now is of no value.
And I'd like to stress that I do believe that school does a pretty good job creating a peculiar framework for young generations. It partially generates the rules we follow as adults.
As a side effect though, it does not only creates frustration (as in my case), but also, more importantly, breeds people who are unable to live under different environment than that of school corridors. I do not wish to scorn the idea of school, I just find it amazingly annoying and frustrating that people there perceive us as assignment-genereting machines who do not have any hobbies, nor personalities as such.
There is nothing more infuriating than being treated as if our life goals were to write a set amount of words or be always neat and disciplined when it comes to things we very often have no interest in!
One gets to spend roughly 13 years of their life trying to put up with people who only care for whether we did something we won't ever need or not.
I know that an individual approach to studets is extremely hard to achieve, but nonetheless something should be done to assure it in a system shaping whole generations of people. Or drop it ;)

Such a lovely day for tea!
Imagine the endless possibilities of putting it in any given sentence on various occassions!
Including 'to tea or not to tea' (when you're getting all existential) and when somebody asks what you've been up to: 'not much, I've just been teaing all day'.
Obviously enough, there would then occur one very important rule. One could never say: 'nah man, I don't feel like teaing right now', because that's just sheer nonsense.
Hope you have fun teaing today! :)

Especially when they reflect how I feel about this landlocked country in Southeast Asia.
You know what they say! It's all about 'Peace, independence, democracy, unity and prosperity'.
I myself am particularly keen on the democracy bit. Good one Lao People's Democratic Republic; keep it up!

Remarkable books #1: Grotesque
Written by Natsuo Kirino, the (supposedly) crime novel 'Grotesque' has long held me suspended in a state of not being fully able to perceive the world around me in quite the same manner as I had done before I read the book.
It would certainly not be a surprise if I said that what I normally long to find in between any book's pages is a sense of thrill and generally an emotional trip through whatever the book has to offer. Carried away and taken somewhere unexpected - that's what I expect of any book.
'Grotesque' had this effect on me.
Not only did it vividly present a world that is utterly unknown to me, but (what I find most incredible) it also left me feeling sympathetic towards the meant-to-be-bad characters, especially Yuriko.
What is more, I found that these were the presumably good characters that left a bad taste in my mouth. In fact they took my perception of resentment and injustice mixed with frustration to a whole new level.

Remarkable places #1: Brooklyn
Being on a constant pursuit of inspiration, I quite often find myself listening to Brooklyn by Wakey!Wakey! over and over again. The most adequate reason for that may be its tight link to one of the most beautiful experiences of my life, namely first love. And although I feel I have never been able to firmly grasp the message conveyed in the song, as I always felt I never really understood the lyrics in a way Michael Grubbs wanted me to, I've grown fascinated with the physical plac itself.

I googled it (a fairly obvious step towards finding the information one needs) and came across google maps' register of pizza restaurants in the vicinity Brooklyn (see what I did there?). I went through it for the sake of my personal liberty of conscience; you never know what may come in handy.
Having left the undoubtfully pleasurable pizza spots, I found a couple of other things I now consider particularly interesting about Brooklyn.
I hope you're having a whale of a time.

Having left the undoubtfully pleasurable pizza spots, I found a couple of other things I now consider particularly interesting about Brooklyn.
- Brooklyn motto was originally formulated by Dutch West India Company in XVII century. Therefore, it's obviously written in Dutch and means 'Unity makes strenght', which, as a side note, is a pretty ambitious statement, especially considering how peacefully representatives of different races coexist.
- With its 2,5 million residents, Brooklyn's population is comprised of only 0.5% of native Americans.
- Brooklyn Heights Residents were reported not to be arsed to close their doors. Pretty mischievous of them.
- Brooklyn is also home to Grand Army Plaza, Botanic Garden and orthodox Jewish communities. What is more, Coney Island became a sacred place for those who take delight in amusement parks and sun-drenched beaches. Sounds perfect to me.
- BA DU DU DU DU DUM! Time for real news! Brooklyn and Gdynia, a Polish seaside city form a twin relationship! Oh yeeah.
- Oh, and if you ever decide to play a prank on somebody and order the aforementined pizza for a friend living in New York, the dialing number for Brooklyn is 00 + 1 + 718 + Number. Good luck sweetheart.
