Just a bit of banter, naa mean?

I'm feeling exceptionally well today.
Or maybe I'm not, I just want to have something to write about and that seems like a good start :)
In the end it doesn't really matter though, when I'm standing in the hall of fame :)

Anyways, the reason for me feeling so well and not wantign to go to sleep at all (It's 4am) is the amount of awesomeness I've managed to experience today and, hence, my excitement. Without wanting to bore you and to cut a rather long story short, I finally slept long enough (I've not had much time for that for the past couple of months), I met my friend who's long gone to Scotland to study and received the prettiest present ever: a small wallet with an owl on it. She said it's for my first earnings when I'm working as a hairdresser :) I've always found presents that meant something to me personally as most valuable. After all, presents in general do not have to be expensive or big: all it takes for them to be awesome is to come as a result of the other person's conscious effort.
That's not what I wanted to write about though. I've been sitting on my bed for the last couple of hours alternately choosing a book or my laptop to keep myself occupied and occasional changing the CDs I wanted to listen to. Needless to say, it's another thing I've not been given a chance to do very often lately.

The book in question is The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and I strongly recommend you to read it. Funnily enough, I got all three parts of the same 'Millenium: The Girl with...' as a Christmas present last year but only got down to reading them now.
I've read half of the first book and I have to say I'm really impressed. The language in the book is picturesque, but not innacurate. I've had moments when I had to put down the book just to contemplate what has just happened in it and how it affected me emotionally. It's amazing how each and every character in it impersonates one of the most complex persons I've ever got to know in any book.
I've been hearing a lot about how good the movie based on that particular book is. And although I'm excited to see it, I have to admit that after failing to be impressed by the film 'We need to talk about Kevin', especially when put against the book  (which was amazing) I'm a bit scared this one may also spoil my vision of the characters, the atmosphere and basically the whole of 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo'. I hate when movies do that to books.
I'll let you know what I think of the movie once I've seen it though :)

Another thing that I got a chance to do today is to finally go through all of the websites that I ever marked as importnat or interesting. And that includes social websites, newsletters that are immutably being delived to my mailbox, manifold forums, miscellaneous radio stations from around the world and blogs. It's funny how the all sort of all link together when you look at all of them from a certain (wider) perspective.
It's a good way to get to know yourself, by the way.
But more of that will come soon! And I cannot wait to tell you all about the websites I find amazing!

By the way, my classmate wished for my blog to compete with facebook when it comes to pageviews on our little christmassy celebration in school. I don't think he really meant it though. Or did he?

Haha,

We'll see how it goes.

WAIT! The banter! I swear I simply forgot to mention why I chose the title of this blogpost to be 'Just a bit of banter, naa mean?'! To summarise though:
1.It's my dream to say that to someone who's British (I've already succeeded at incorporating cheers mate quite in my everyday English)
2.I wanted to have an excuse to put a definition of the word 'banter' here:
The playful and friendly exchange of teasing remarks.
Synonyms:
noun: jest - joke - raillery - pleasantry - badinage
verb: joke - jest - chaff - lark - tease - mock - jape
:) Source: woho

To be completely honest, I think I might have said that (just to practice) to the guy I spoke to on the phone the other day: he worked in one of the major Ballon Delivery companies in the UK and judging by his accent he must've been from Birmingham. But that's a whole lot of a different story.

It's 4 am and I intend to go back to reading my book. I'll leave you with that song, as well as the first blog entry on one of my previous Polish blogs... that I abandoned...
Anyways, keep reading on if you're interested :) and Polish!

Hope you're having incredible dreams! x

Powracam!

Odwiedzaj go częściej, a nie pożałujesz.
Chętnie dowiem się, jaką jesteś osobą :)
